If you follow me on Facebook, Instagram or twitter, you might have seen some of this beautiful wedding I planned last September on Junebugs weddings some weeks ago! If you haven’t, go check it out now! Chiara and Alessio tied the knot last September on the beautiful and so peculiar Torcello, the island of the Venice lagoon that is the farthest away from the main land. It is a special place, a piece of the country side surrounded by the sea, a place of history and culture and a serene sense of peace. Here in Torcello are the beautiful Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral, a true gem of bizantine origins, and the famous Locanda Cipriani, that has hosted the most important people in the world. Here, Chiara and Alessio got ready and received their friends and family, coming from Veneto, Milan, London, China, Abu Dhabi, the world!
Planning this wedding was easy in a sense, because I feel that I connect to Chiara on an aesthetic level a lot: classic choices, beauty first, simplicity, elegance and attention to the little things. Have you seen her Luisa Beccaria wedding gown? To die for!
It was also challenging, as a wedding in such a particular location can be, for logistics and organizational issues. This is why the team for this wedding was reinforced, and Sylvie from My Italian Weddingplanner helped me with the guests transportation and on the day of handy and leg work! Thank you Sylvie!
I loved a lot of things about this wedding: the elegance, the intimacy, the palpable love between Chiara and Alessio and from their dear ones surrounding everything, the so pretty flowers from Il Profumo Dei Fiori and the timeless stationery by Valentina at Cut and Paste Lab.
Please enjoy the beautiful and so classic photography from Barbara Zanon! She is a real artist and captured that day’s emotions so well. Leave some love in the comments if you wish, this event is very dear to my heart!
But before, please take four minutes to soak up the oh so romantic wedding film from Laura Ascari. So much beauty and magic!
