Ready for a charming intimate wedding in Tuscany? A year and away ago today, Ashley and Nick said their vows to each other in the most intimate, romantic and amazing setting ever: the beautiful Valdirose, just outside of Florence. It is a special place, where you can breathe in a sense of calmness, of beauty and family. It was the family home of the owner, Irene, than later transformed it into this charming B&B. If you haven’t heard of them already, you must check them out!
Ashley was in Italy to study for a semester in Florence, and Nick came from the Us to take her back with him, but as his wife! They went for a very private religious ceremony, followed by a nice and cozy dinner in the B&b’s veranda, with a handful of their best friends. It was so intimate and beautiful!
I highly recommend a very small, intimate wedding in Tuscany for anyone who is very private and doesn’t feel comfortable throwing a big party.
I helped Ashley and Nick with finding a location, a pastor, music, decor, caterer, photographer. And I had the pleasure of being there on the day to style everything for them. Ashley was so beautiful and effortlessly elegant, and the ambiance fit perfectly with her.
I especially loved all the little touches: the handwritten details, the cheese-cake for a groom who doesn’t like sweets, the cookies with their names, their songs played on the piano. And of course Sofia’s amazing lovely flowers, that came straight out of my dreams! Adriano Mazzocchetti did a wonderful job capturing it all and was a real pleasure to have around. And of course a huge thank you to Irene, Paolo and their family for having hosted us in such a gracious way.
I love this wedding and I am proud to show it all to you!
Ashley seems to have loved it too, and she sent me the nicest testimonial. Here a little piece of it. When you read it, imagine me blushing very red!:
Laura was an dream for a wedding planner. Being from America I chose an Italian destination wedding, however, I new very little about planning a wedding, much less in a different country! Laura was a Godsend. She was so easy to work with and understood my ideas immediately. I was studying abroad during this time in Florence, so I trusted Laura with most of the planning. I sent a few pictures to my taste, and she created a dream wedding that I could never have imagined! She let me choose from the absolute best vendors. The caterer, to the pianist and even the photographer were so perfect and so memorable, and I barely did anything. One of the best things about her is that you can tell she is very passionate about her job and she works very hard to pull off your wedding. Overall, it was the best service one could hope for, and looking back, I would do everything the exact same way. She was the best decision I made and I will never forget all the wonderful memories from that day.
